湖南卫视《歌手》2018本周五晚开启第三场竞演，被视作本季黑马的张天，连续三场选择了英文歌，这次的《Hello》是英国著名女歌手阿黛尔2015年发表的一支单曲，相当具有人气！张天一方面致敬偶像阿黛尔，另一方面则是希望通过这首歌曲与自己对话，把自己的故事分享给大家。
竞演现场，张天演唱得十分投入，歌曲中传递出的情感也格外浓厚。谈及这首歌，张天表示《Hello》对她而言有着不一样的意义，其中最大的原因来自于偶像阿黛尔：“身上有着正真的艺术家应该拥有的品质，我很敬佩”，而张天就是以她为榜样不断要求自己。所以，即便身处的战局并非顺境，她依然希望能通过自己对《Hello》的演绎向偶像致敬并激励自己不断加油前进。至于歌曲具体会如何呈现，张天透露：“《Hello》是大家耳熟能详的歌，我不会改变太多，但是会给观众带来一种非常强烈的戏剧性情感冲突，主要表现在我的声音和编曲上。”不仅如此，对于上一场演唱的意外失误，张天也希望通过这首歌跟一直关注着自己的歌迷朋友们致歉。
